Happy father's day.

Some people actually consider this a special day that deserves to be embraced. But most people-such as myself and of course contrary to the title of this blog post-loath it;not if the global 'hit-and-run-fathers' statistic is anything to go by.I say "global" because I doubt there exists a country in the world that doesn't suffer from a certain degree of  what I like call the 'single-mother' pandemic. And I say "hit and run" because that's what most of these two-faced,immoral so-called dads of ours do:they empregnate our poor mothers and then leave 'em hanging like black people back in the slavery era.
But since someone went out of their way to make it an official public holiday,I might as well celebrate it and stop bitching and moaning about it.This brings me to the very reason why I decided to write this blog in the first place; to express my gratitude to the father of democracy,Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. In the year 1994,amidst all the racial discrimination and warfare in South Africa,a baby called Democracy was conceived. This baby, with support from it's dad,Mr Mandela, successfully brought an end to the Apartheid regime. It is because of Mr Mandela's 'fathering skills' that our country now enjoys racial equality and decent human rights policies.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Mandela for excellently playing his role as a father to his beloved son,Democracy.
